Ben-Yaakov is an industrial engineer and MBA. Chairman and board member of IPRA. He also heads the coalition of fifty patients organizations initiating joint activities for promoting patients rights in the Israeli health system.
In his past, an organizational consultant for health systems (for sick funds and hospitals). He also managed the medical unit in “Avner” insurance company, and worked as a district director Maccabi Healthcare Services sick fund.
Currently, serves as chairman of IPRA , after a long period as CEO of the organization.
The Society for Patients Rights in Israel is a non-profit organization which helps patients and their families claim their healthcare rights and obtain necessary services from the health plans, hospitals and other medical facilities.
